Innvotec's clients have traditionally been venture capital limited partnerships and commitment to these partnerships has been from a combination of pension funds, corporates, clearing banks and European Union initiatives.
The investment remit has ranged from global to national to regional and in most cases the targeted investee has been in the technology sector, with the exception of biotechnology and pharmaceutical.
Innvotec has invested in more than eighty companies and our experience shows that not all venture capital success is instantaneous and only now are some of our earliest portfolio companies starting to create the value that was envisaged many years ago.
As part of its own evolution, Innvotec has expanded its "permitted business" to embrace funding from the retail sector:
- for equity funding under the EIS scheme
- for the provision of loan finance for SMEs and other private companies via "Bonds for Business"
